The Order came into force on 1st October 2006 and has replaced all previous fire legislation.

Previously issued Fire Certificates are no longer valid. The Order relates to all places of work, including the common areas of multi-occupied residential buildings.

It is a legal requirement for “The Responsible Person” to conduct a “Fire Risk Assessment” and to ensure all staff receive adequate “Fire Safety Training”.
